All PSA training is performance based . Whatever depth rating it says on your card, you will have been there on the course, with your instructor, making sure that the skills you have learned are up to that depth.
Our Sport Diving Programme is now in place. To compliment it we have a range of sport diving specialities designed to enhance your skills. Please view the Sport Diving Course Overview for information about PSAI Sport Diving courses including nitrox, drysuit, full face mask, diver propulsion vehicles, twin sets and semi-closed rebreathers.
PSAI was the first internationally recognized agency to establish training guidelines for extended range recreational diving, dating back to 1962, way before the term "Technical Diving" was adopted. PSAI techical training covers the full spectrum from advanced nitrox to expedition trimix, rebreathers and overhead environment

All PSAI diver programs are also supported by an instructor training program designed to ensure the potential instructor has the full understanding and practical skills to teach one or more of the courses. The pre-requisite is a minimum of an open water instructional qualification from a recreational agency and the diver qualification for the area the instructor wishes to teach. The instructor qualification is taught and evaluated by an Instructor Trainer .
